Hate Wasting Food?
Don’t throw it if we can use it!
Are you a business that regularly or occasionally has surplus stock you can’t use or sell to your customers?
Then why not give it to us!
We collect and redistribute good food which would otherwise be wasted via our many Pay-As-You-Feel Cafés, Boutiques, Freegan Boxes, Events, and Sharehouse. You can see all our regular venues by clicking here.
To donate, please text 07821 572 320 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with the details
Small or large, weekly or whenever the need arises, just drop us a text or email.
Please note the phone is unstaffed, so you can only text it – it won’t be answered if you call or leave a voicemail!
We have regular and ad hoc collection arrangements with all sorts of suppliers; supermarkets, distribution depots, wholesalers, discounters, charities, market gardeners, restaurants, artisan craftspeople, allotmenteers, pubs, mobile caterers, events organisers, schools etc. We’d love to work with you too!
Here’s our handy guide to what we can and can’t accept:
|Food that is in date but surplus to requirements (over order, label change, destocking line etc)||
|Other products (toiletries etc) that are surplus to requirements||
|Food that is close to its Use By/Best Before Date (short date)||
|Food that is past its Best Before Date||
Yes, please! (so long as its still worth eating!)
|Cooked/frozen food that has been labelled and stored correctly||
|Food that is past its Use By date||Sorry, we could get into trouble for having it, and you could get into trouble for supplying it to us, so please be vigilant with this!|
|Food that does not have an ingredients label in English||Sorry, we can’t use this.|
|Cooked food that has not been stored correctly (e.g. buffet food)||Sorry, we can’t use this.|
Where are you?
Whereabouts are you based? Would you be able to drop any such items to us? That would be amazingly helpful for us, as we’re all volunteers. If not, we can usually arrange a volunteer to collect, if needed.
We have regular venues all over the city on most weekdays – have a look here trjfpbrum.com/venues for locations and times. Most of the regular venues would be fine to accept a delivery unannounced if you were passing.
If our Sharehouse in Winson Green is local to you, it’s likely that someone could arrange to meet you there any day of the week you needed to make a large drop off, if that would be more convenient?
If you need any more information, or would like to drop into one of our venues to see what we do, then we’d love to see you!
